From the creators of Chestnuts, H is for Hantu is a musical comedy for the whole family, with an exhilarating mixture of spooks, madcap comedy, ingenious puppets and infectious music, woven together to entertain young and old alike!
Singapore’s last existing kampung is about to be wiped out to make way for development, but not all the residents are willing to give up without a fight! Catch feisty Sazali and his supernatural sidekicks – the sultry diva Pontianak and the light-headed but very gutsy Hantu Penanggalan – as they hatch a plan to convince the government to spare their kampung, but instead find themselves caught up in a chilling haunting that scares even these sassy spooks!
H is for Hantu boldly takes the interactive family fun of the panto and the sassiness of the musical comedy; adds the visual magic of puppetry and the irresistible fascination of our local supernatural folklore, and weaves them into a heartwarmingly Singaporean story of nostalgia vs newness, and friendships that endure separation and defy all barriers.
